A juvenile detention officer for the state of Connecticut has been arrested on two counts of workers’ compensation fraud, the Office of the Chief State’s Attorney said Thursday.
Hartford resident Dameon McLean, 41, reported an injury last March and began receiving disability benefits. Surveillance video taken in October, however, showed him working for the Cromwell school system as a behavior support “paraprofessional,” supervising students whose behavior required them to be removed from the classroom, prosecutors said.
