TDI Sets Stakeholder Meeting on Examination Fees, Maintenance Taxes

The Texas Department of Insurance will hold a stakeholder meeting Oct. 24 to discuss examination assessments and maintenance taxes. The department announced that it has done preliminary estimates on projected rates for the fees and hopes to gain input at the meeting. Insurance Code Sections 401.151, 401.152, 401.155, 401.156 and Labor Code Section 407A.252 require the commissioner of insurance to determine rates for the examination assessments.
