The California Division of Workers’ Compensation’s Medical Unit is accepting applications for the qualified medical evaluator examination that will be held April 28.
Physicians must pay a nonrefundable $125 fee to sit for the exam. Physicians are also required to complete a 12-hour course in disability evaluation report writing before they are eligible to be appointed as a QME.
The April exam will be held in Northern and Southern California. The location of the test will be included in conformation letters sent to physicians who submit applications to sit for the exam.
