Bredesen Names Lawyers to Tenn. Advisory Council

Tennessee Gov. Phil Bredesen has named an insurance company attorney and a member of the claimants' bar to serve on the Workers' Compensation Advisory Council.Bredesen issued the appointments to the 14-member council last week. The counicl advises the Tennessee General Assembly and state commerce and labor officials on workers' comp issues.The panel is chaired by Tennessee State Treasurer Dale Sims and also reviews annual loss-cost filings by the National Council on Compensation Insurance.The new members are Katherine "Kitty" Boyte, of Nashville, and Bruce D.
