WCD Adopts Final Rules in Reaction to Brown v. SAIF Decision

Permanent rules that were proposed after the Oregon Supreme Court’s ruling in Brown v. SAIF will take effect on Oct. 8, the Workers’ Compensation Division announced Friday. The high court ruled in April that an “otherwise compensable injury” encompasses only the conditions that the employer or insurer accepted as compensable.
