Pele Godkin Named Appeals Board Judge

Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee appointed Pele Godkin to serve as a judge on the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board.

Godkin is a former workers’ compensation specialist in what was at the time called the Division of Workers’ Compensation, working out of offices in Nashville and Murfreesboro.

In 2008 she joined the law firm of Cornelius and Collins, where she later became a partner.

She has more than a decade of work comp experience and is a “Rule 31” general mediator.

Godkin received a bachelor’s in political science from Central Washington University and earned her law degree from the Seattle University School of Law.

The Tennessee Court of Workers' Compensation Claims said in a blog post that a swearing-in ceremony will be held later in January.
