Governor Revises Comp Provisions in Tribe's Gaming Compact

California Gov. Jerry Brown signed an amended tribal gaming compact with the Habematolel Pomo of Upper Lake, updating workers’ compensation provisions. The governor’s office said the workers’ compensation provisions in the amended compact are more consistent with those in other tribal gaming compacts than the requirements in the 2011 compact allowing the Habematolel Pomo to open the Running Creek Casino in Upper Lake the next year.
