Blocked Exit at Dollar General Leads to OSHA Citation

A Dollar General store in Hamburg is facing proposed fines of $113,300 after an OSHA inspection allegedly found an unmarked and blocked exit and blocked aisles. The store, which also lacked an easily accessible fire extinguisher at the time of the inspection, was cited on Oct. 21 for one serious and three repeat violations, OSHA said in a news release. According to OSHA, Dollar General stores have been inspected by the agency more than 70 times and cited more than 40 times since 2009, usually because of blocked exits and electrical panels, as well as improperly maintained fire extinguish...
