The Utah Insurance Department is proposing a 108-page bill to modernize the state Insurance Code that includes a provision that would eliminate workers' compensation as a specialized line of authority and place it under the property and casualty classification.The Utah state Legislature convenes its general session on Jan. 26 and is scheduled to adjourn on March 12.
