TDI Extends Experience Modifiers for a Year

The Texas Department of Insurance has postponed the expiration date of negotiated experience modifiers for employers, from July 1, 2018, to July 1, 2019. The extension was included in an amendment to TDI’s Experience Rating Plan Manual and Statistical Plan for Workers’ Compensation and Employers’ Liability Insurance. The amendment was adopted on Monday. TDI said the extension was proposed by the Independent Insurance Agents of Texas in an April 26 petition.
