The Oregon Workers’ Compensation Division announced that premium assessments will increase by 9% in 2017.
The division will assess insured and self-insured employers at a rate of 6.8% to fund its operations, as well as those of the Workers’ Compensation Board, most of the Occupational Safety and Health administration and part of the Insurance Division. For the last four years the assessment rate was 6.2%.
Self-insured employers also have to pay an additional assessment to fund the Self-Insured Employer Adjustment Reserve and the Self-Insured Employer Group Adjustment Reserve.
