One of the architects behind 2005 workers’ compensation reforms has announced she is retiring from the Texas House after 13 terms.
Rep. Helen Giddings, D-DeSoto, was first elected in 1992 and is vice chairwoman of the House State Affairs Committee, and also chairs the Texas Legislative Black Caucus.
