DWC Toughens Audit Standards for 2009

California claims adjusting locations will face more stringent standards from Division of Workers' Compensation compliance auditors in 2009. The DWC Audit and Enforcement Unit on Tuesday announced that its profile audit review (PAR) performance standard for audits conducted in 2009 will be 1.76686, a downward adjustment from this year’s 1.82401.Audit subjects that meet the standard will be required to pay any unpaid compensation, but no penalties will be assessed.
