The Hawaii Department of Labor and Industrial Relations is holding a public hearing in November to get input on rules that would allow providers to submit treatment plans by fax starting in 2017.
Proposed rules implement House Bill 2017, which Gov. David Ige signed into law in June to allow electronic submission of treatment plans, starting in January.
Under the proposed rules, a treatment plan shall be deemed received by an employer “when is sent by mail or facsimile with reasonable evidence showing that the treatment plan was received.”
