Roofing Co. Owner Pleads No Contest to Premium Fraud

A roofing company owner pleaded no contest to charges of fraud for claiming he had no employees so he could avoid work comp coverage payments, according to KION News. Hector Hernandez, owner of Hernandez Roofing, King City, was charged with three felony counts of insurance fraud. He was also charged with paying his workers in cash in order to skirt state payroll tax.
