The Court of Appeals for the 2nd District of California on Wednesday ordered publication of its decision overturning an award of housekeeping services for an injured worker.
Last month, the court said the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board exceeded its authority in addressing Maxine Wiggs’ need for housework assistance.
Wiggs had worked for Allied Signal Aerospace. She suffered multiple injuries in the course of her employment, and her doctor requested that she receive help at home, since she was unable to do it all herself.
