An indictment handed down by a federal grand jury accuses two Oklahoma physicians and a third man of participating in a kickback scheme that billed the federal workers’ compensation program, Medicare and Tricare $4.7 million for compound drugs that were prescribed by doctors who were paid kickbacks.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Oklahoma charged Christopher Parks, 57, and Dr. Gary Lee, 58, both of Tulsa, with conspiring to pay kickbacks and bribes to physicians in order to induce them to prescribe compounded drugs.
