The federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration has reached a settlement with a roofing contractor in a lawsuit over the contractor’s alleged retaliation against an employee who cooperated in an OSHA safety investigation.
Under the settlement, Jasper Contractors Inc. agreed to pay the employee $48,000 in back wages and compensatory damages. Jasper is based in Kennesaw, Georgia, and performs roofing work in Florida.
