TDI Looks Into Updating Legacy In-House Claim System

The Texas Department of Insurance is looking into updating the roughly 25-year-old technology its administrators use to keep track of workers' compensation claims and the dispute resolution process.  The agency is seeking contractors to assess its three in-house workers' compensation data systems — COMPASS, which tracks the dispute-resolution process; TXCOMP eClaims, which logs information about a claim's indemnity portion; and TXCOMP Provider, which logs information about a claim's medical portion — and recommend "a strategy for implementation ...
