Steel Worker Accused of Double-Dipping

A 58-year-old worker for a New York steel casting company has been arrested on charges that the collected workers' compensation benefits while driving for a car rental company.The New York State Insurance Fund (NYSIF) said Tuesday that Jeffrey Lucca, of Buffalo, N.Y., sustained a back injury in 1975 while working for Atlas Steel Casting Co. in Buffalo.He was arrested last Thursday and charged with violating the New York Workers' Compensation Law and grand larceny.Investigator alleged Lucca received $6,613 in benefits while working for a Buffalo car rental agency.The charges allege Lucc...
