Arizona Division of Occupational Safety and Health inspectors have proposed $9,100 in fines against a Tucson skylight manufacturer for code violations.
DOSH officials noted several machine parts that should have been guarded and weren't during a Dec. 3 inspection of Solar Industries, according to a report from the agency. The company allegedly failed to install guards on turning gears, spots for employees to rest the products they were working on and protection against objects falling onto operating pedals.
