Formulary, Benefit Extension Process on Committee Agenda

A Kentucky advisory committee has scheduled a meeting for Monday to discuss rules to implement a drug formulary and establish a process to allow claimants to appeal for an extension of benefits beyond 780 weeks. House Bill 2, signed into law by Gov. Matt Bevin on March 30, directed the Department of Worker Claims to adopt a drug formulary by Dec. 31. The bill also limited medical benefits to 780 weeks for claimants injured after July 14, but allows claimants to request an extension.
