Staffing agencies are adamantly opposing legislation in the House Labor Committee that would tighten regulation of temporary workers. House Bill 1189, modeled after a similar measure enacted last year in Massachusetts, would require temporary staffing agencies to spell out in writing the wages, locations and descriptions of the jobs they arrange for people.
