The Florida Division of Workers’ Compensation canceled a rules-change hearing scheduled for Friday due to the expected arrival of Hurricane Irma.
The DWC was set to hear public comment on amendments to Rule 69L-8.071 to update the resource materials used in the division's reimbursement manuals.
Gov. Rick Scott, however, declared a State of Emergency in response to Hurricane Irma, which is forecast to strike Florida this weekend. The governor directed the closure of state offices in all 67 Florida counties on Friday.
