DWC Cancels Rule Hearing After Hurricane Emergency Declared

The Florida Division of Workers’ Compensation canceled a rules-change hearing scheduled for Friday due to the expected arrival of Hurricane Irma. The DWC was set to hear public comment on amendments to Rule 69L-8.071 to update the resource materials used in the division's reimbursement manuals. Gov. Rick Scott, however, declared a State of Emergency in response to Hurricane Irma, which is forecast to strike Florida this weekend.
