State Fines Company Over Explosion at Oil Plant

Wyoming safety officials cited a construction company for seven violations and proposed $13,500 in fines for an explosion in August 2011 that killed three workers, according to a report by the Associated Press.The Workers' Safety and Compensation Division has now cited 19 violations and proposed a total of $48,150 in fines related to the explosion.On Thursday, the safety agency cited Wild West Construction for failing to adequately instruct employees on how to recognize and avoid unsafe conditions and failing to provide a stairway, ladder or ramp to help workers get out of a trench they we...
