Text Messages Allegedly Contradict Jail Worker's Comp Claim

An employee of an Oklahoma jail is under investigation for allegedly providing false information in a workers' compensation claim after she said she was injured when an inmate assaulted her.
Denielle Robertson, who worked at the Oklahoma County jail in Oklahoma City, said she was injured in the assault Oct. 24, according to a local news report. But the inmate filed a complaint, alleging that Robertson was the aggressor in the assault.
Investigators with the Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office obtained Robertson's cellphone and determined that text messages backed up the inmate's complaint, and the messages were contrary to the jail worker's claims.
“Text messages Robertson sent from her cellular phone revealed she was the aggressor and did not act in self-defense,” the investigator wrote in a search warrant affidavit, the newspaper reported.
Robertson has not been charged with a crime.
