The vast majority of Democratic Assembly members have joined two Democratic leaders in the Senate to oppose the State Workers’ Compensation Board’s draft impairment guidelines, and have asked the agency to scrap them entirely and start over.
In a letter last week to board Chairwoman Clarissa M. Rodriguez, the 96 signatories say the agency violated the Legislature’s directive to revise, not rewrite, the guidelines to reflect medical advances and improved outcomes.
The board did not respond to an email seeking comment Monday.
