Legislative Committee to Review Opioid, Notice Rules

The North Carolina Rules Review Commission on Thursday will consider a proposal by the Industrial Commission to amend regulations regarding treatment with opioids, and computation of time and notices.  The committee of state lawmakers may give final approval to the regulations or demand changes if it believes the proposed rules don’t conform to state law or are unnecessary.  The proposed changes to Title 4 of the North Carolina Administrative Code, Subchapter 10M, Section 100 would limit first prescriptions of opioids and other controlled substances to a five-day supply,...
