The federal judge presiding over the constitutional challenge to the lien stay provision in Senate Bill 1160 did not make any decision on a request for a temporary injunction at a hearing last week and ordered parties to return for further proceedings on Thursday.
There is no docket entry for the Aug. 24 hearing, during which U.S. District Court Judge George H. Wu was expected to issue a decision on whether to enjoin the state from staying liens filed by providers charged with fraud and other crimes while the constitutional challenge plays out.
