County Bracing for Premium Increase and Deductible

Officials in Hawkins County, Tenn., are bracing for an 8% increase in premiums and a $2,500 deductible on workers' injuries following chronic violations found during safety inspections, the Rogersville Review reported.The newspaper said the county's Safety Committee met late Thursday to discuss workers' compensation premiums and in-house safety inspections.The newspaper said Hawkins County will have to pay $23,000 in premiums on top of the $290,000 it paid for fiscal 2012-2013.
