The Alaska Workers’ Compensation Division announced that injured workers who use their personal vehicle to travel for medical appointments after Jan. 1 will be reimbursed at a rate of 54.5 cents per mile.
Injured workers are reimbursed for travel at the rate approved by the Internal Revenue Service, which increased the 2018 travel reimbursement rate from 53.5 cents per mile in 2017.
