The average monthly wage in Arizona increased 2.3%, resulting in a commensurate increase in maximum indemnity benefits for injuries sustained on or after Jan. 1, 2018.
Injured workers in Arizona receive indemnity benefits at a rate of 66.67% of their average monthly wages prior to the injury. The monthly wage used to calculate indemnity benefits is capped at the average wage paid to all workers in the state.
The wage maximum for 2018 injuries will be $4,652.92, up from $4,521.92 for 2017 injuries. As a result, the maximum monthly disability benefit will increase to $3,101.95 from $3,014.61.
