DLSE Nets 47 Citations in So. Cal. Carwash Sweep

The State Division of Labor Standards Enforcement hit Orange and Los Angeles country car washes with 47 citations totaling $356,000 in fines this week, including 19 citations against businesses that did not carry workers' compensation insurance.The raids are part of an effort to address the illegal operations of California’s underground economy.Thirteen investigators checked 64 carwashes in Los Angeles County and eight in Orange County during the two-day sweep.
