ANAHEIM, California — By the time the California Coalition on Workers' Compensation holds its next annual conference, the state's workers' comp system will have just introduced a prescription drug formulary.
On the last day of this year's conference Friday, two California medical executives expressed cautious optimism that the formulary will reduce friction and costs while more tightly controlling the amount of problematic medications dispensed, such as compound creams and opioids.
