State Proposes Rules to Improve Refinery Safety

The Department of Industrial Relations, governor’s Office of Emergency Services and California Environmental Protection Agency proposed rules intended to improve workplace and environmental safety at refineries throughout the state. Proposed rules would increase worker involvement in all workplace safety and prevention programs, the agencies said in a statement released Thursday.
