Thirty Ohio employers have received a total of $695,144 in grants from the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation to buy equipment designed to reduce or prevent workplace injuries.
BWC’s safety intervention grant program matches an employer’s investment 3-to-1, up to a maximum of $40,000.
The recipients include Rich Industries Inc., which was awarded $5,876 to buy an automatic hole punch machine. The equipment is intended to reduce the risk of injury to wrists, arms, shoulders, neck, back and legs related to repetition, hand force and awkward postures.
