Pharmacy Owner Pleads Guilty in Compounded Capsule Conspiracy

A pharmacy owner in Ashland, Kentucky, has pleaded guilty to a conspiracy to misbrand oxycodone and hydrocodone, which were compounded into capsules for purposes that were not medically legitimate. Karl O’Dell, 61, a pharmacist and owner of the pharmacy, pleaded guilty on Tuesday.
