President Trump has nominated the Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation administrator to the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio, according to a local news report.
Sarah Morrison has been administrator/CEO of the 1,900-employee bureau since 2016, and before that, she was an attorney with Taft Stettinus & Hollister in Columbus. She graduated from Ohio State University and earned her law degree at Capital University Law School.
Her name was submitted for the federal bench by Ohio's U.S. senators. The Senate must confirm Morrison's nomination before she can take office.
