Two men who own a Miami roofing company have been arrested on suspicion of trying to conceal almost $1.2 million in payroll on their workers’ comp insurance renewal application.
Jose Esmelin Martinez and Uzziel Isaias Jaramillo were arrested last month. Each has been charged with workers’ compensation fraud, grand theft and organized scheme to defraud, according to a press release from Florida's chief financial officer.
Martinez and Jaramillo are owners of Esmelin Corp., also known as Esmelin Roofing Contractor.
