BWC Records 90th Fraud Conviction of 2017

The Bureau of Workers’ Compensation’s seven recent fraud convictions of employers and injured workers brings the annual total to 90, the agency said. “Workers’ compensation fraud raises the cost of the system for everyone involved," said Special Investigations Department Director Jim Wernecke. “I hope these latest convictions serve as a reminder to those attempting to steal from BWC: We have investigators all over the state.
