Oregon lawmakers concluded the 2016 session without acting on bills that would have excluded sick leave pay from the definition of payroll, expressly prohibited employers from directing care and extended term limits for advisory council members.
House Bill 4052, introduced by the House Interim Committee on Business and Labor, would have required employers to provide injured workers with written notice explaining they have the right to choose a provider. It would have required carriers keep a copy of the notice that was signed by the worker and employer.
