Commission Seeks Applications for Workplace Safety Awards

The North Carolina Industrial Commission is accepting applications from businesses for workplace safety awards, which are given to employers with above-average workplace safety and health programs. To qualify for the awards, businesses must be free of fatalities at the site for which they are applying. The site’s injury and illness rate also must be at least 50% below that of their industry’s average rate.
