The Colorado Division of Workers’ Compensation is proposing to increase five conversion factors and reduce two others as part of an annual medical utilization standards and fee schedule update.
Colorado’s fee schedule is based on Medicare’s Resource-Based Relative Value Scale model, in which relative value units assigned to certain procedures are multiplied by a conversion factor to calculate the payment owed to providers. The DWC is proposing to change the following conversion factors in 2018 as follows:
