Board Finds Additional Misconduct by Suspended Claimants' Attorney

The Louisiana Attorney Disciplinary Board is recommending that a lawyer, whose law license has already been suspended, be convicted of additional charges based on a complaint by a client that he had dismissed her workers' compensation claim without her permission. The board accepted most of the findings of the Office of Disciplinary Counsel against Hugh E. McNeely of New Orleans, but it rejected the recommendation that McNeely be sanctioned with an additional year of suspension and two years of probation.
