The Oregon Workers' Compensation Division has scheduled a Jan. 18 hearing to take public comments on proposed rules changes that would modify the medical fee schedule, require better communications between medical providers and payers and cap fees when rules don't set a maximum allowable payment for specific services.The provision to cap fees at 80% of the provider's usual charge is expected to save carriers and employers $4 million in medical costs, the division said in its announcement of the rules proposal.Another proposed rules change that would limit reimbursement for drugs to...
