Jerry Brown during the weekend signed legislation to give workers’ compensation interpreters until March 1 to become certified and another bill that clears up sections of the Labor Code authorizing death benefits for totally disabled dependents of a deceased worker.But Brown also vetoed bills that would have extended the deadline to file for death benefits in safety officer presumption cases, required the Insurance Department to build a website dedicated to workers’ compensation carrier financial data, required temporary disability...
