The Oregon Workers’ Compensation Board will discuss rules related to translating court documents, and the process by which a payer can request that an injured worker pursue damages from a noncompliant employer or third party.
The board will review comments received in February on proposed permanent rules that would require documents submitted during hearings to be in English. The party offering the documents would be responsible for the cost of translation, and injured workers could recover translation costs as a litigation expense, under the proposed rules.
