New Jersey's top workers' compensation judge told attorneys in a memorandum posted online Monday that the trial of workers' compensation cases will not be delayed because of Medicare's new system of pursuing recovery of medical expenses that the agency believes should have been paid by workers' comp insurers.
The memo by Division of Workers' Compensation Director and Chief Judge Russell Wojtenko Jr. says that many attorneys have contacted the division with concerns about Medicare's Insurer Non-Group Health Plans Recovery program, which launched last October.
