Committee Approves Bill Limiting Social Security Offset

A Washington state Senate committee passed a bill proposing to eliminate the offset for injured workers who had applied or were already receiving Social Security retirement benefits before the date of their injury. The Senate Committee on Labor and Commerce on Thursday voted 5-1 to pass House Bill 1336, by Rep. Steve Kirby, D-Tacoma.
