Zurich Backing Increased Deposit for Restaurant Group

The largest self-insured group in California posted an increased security deposit for 2012, and announced that it has backing from Zurich North America to go even higher.The California Restaurant Mutual Benefit Corp. (CRMBC), which covers $1.6 billion in payroll at more than 4,000 locations throughout the state, posted a $44 million security deposit with the Office of Self Insurance Plans, a 22% increase over the $36 million it posted for 2011.The program, which is administered by CHSI, has backing from Zurich North America to go as high as $60 million on the security deposit.
